Hi all,
Well it had to happen, sods law and all that. Fernwood's called today to say that the crane that will launch AmyJo has broken down and so she will now have to wait until Saturday for their other crane to be available. The marina will not allow any other company to crane boats in so we have no choice but to wait one more day.
Andy at Fernwoods did his best to try to convince them to let us use another company to save time but they would have none of it. Poor chap was having a real bad day of it I reckon, He sounded pretty miffed on the phone but was extremely apologetic. We don't blame him its not his fault.
Still the one up side of it is the forecast is better for Saturday and we may even see some sun though it does mean our first cruise will be a lot shorter than was planned.
Going to need some fresh ice for that Champaign.
With AmyJo's build now long complete and one of us into retirement. Chris I now look forward to cruising the network further afield now time allows Our blog is a diary for our friends and family to follow our adventures and, of course, you are welcome to join us as well.

Hi Steve and Chris, we are sure it will be worth it in the end, AmyJo is looking amazing you must be so pleased, looking forward to seeing her ourself one day at last your dreams are a reality! Good luck with the launch we look forward to seeing the pictures on here. Best Wishes James and Doug x
Oh no! After all the build-up! Still, one more day in the grand scheme of things isn't too bad, and you'll very soon forget that the Big Day was slightly delayed ...
Thanks everyone for your comments. While I agree its frustrating all good things come to those who wait as they say. We know its gonna be worth it in the end.
Andy at Fernwoods really did have a mare of a day yesterday trying to sort this for us. I take my hat of to him for trying.
